All Kroger stores will be open on Independence Day. In more rural areas, hours may vary based on local traffic and store manager discretion. Expect shortened hours across the board. And also open other stores under Kroger umbrella: Metro Market, Fred Meyer, Fry's, King Soopers etc. This day, special military discount is 10%.

CVS

This pharmacy chain is known for staying open during most holidays, including Independence Day – though hours may vary by location.

Stores will be closed on Saturday, July 4th.

Stores will be open until 2 pm on Saturday, July 4th.

This Texas favorite is open for business until noon on Saturday, July 4th, 2026.

Target

Target stores are usually open on July of 4th.

Smart and Final

Smart and Final will be stay open for the holiday, as it has in previous years.

Sprouts Farmers Market

Sprouts stores will be open on Independence Day and ready to serve their health-conscious shoppers until 2pm.

ACME, Safeway

Owned by Albertsons, these stores will be open until 4pm. The same applies to Jewel-Osco, Vons, and a few other regional chains under Albertsons umbrella. Pharmacies of this chains will be closed.

Winn Dixie

These stores will be closed on Independence Day.

Giant Food

Giant Food stores will be open until 5 pm on Independence Day.

Bob's of Windham IGA Markets

All stores of this chain will be closed July of 4th.
