As promised, we’re back with more helpful shopping tips! This time, we’re focusing on Fareway gift cards. With Fareway stores gaining popularity, more and more shoppers are receiving or purchasing these gift cards – sometimes for the first time.

Thankfully, checking your balance is quick and easy. Fareway has updated their tools to make the process as simple and secure as possible.

Currently, you can check your Fareway gift card balance in three ways:

  • Online through the official balance checker;
  • In any Fareway store at the register;
  • Using the official Fareway mobile app.

Unfortunately, phone balance checks are no longer supported. The method is considered outdated and puts unnecessary load on customer support lines.

Checking Your Balance Online

The most common way to check your balance is through the online form on Fareway’s website. Just enter your card details and see your remaining balance instantly.

Enter the gift card number in the first field (exactly as shown on the illustration):

Scratch off the protective strip to reveal your PIN and enter it in the next field:

Click the button to submit your request:

If the information is correct, your current balance will be displayed on screen.

Fareway In-Store Balance Check

If you're shopping at Fareway, you can also ask the cashier to check your gift card balance. Just hand over your card, and they’ll process it right away. You’ll either be told your current balance or receive a printed receipt with the details.

Also, if you use the gift card to pay for a purchase, the remaining balance will often appear on your receipt.

To view your full gift card activity and balance, add the card as a payment method in the app. This gives you full control over all future transactions made with the card.

Important Reminder: Do not use third-party apps to manage your Fareway gift card. They can compromise your personal data or even drain your card balance.
